Second year mathematics PhD student in geometric analysis at the University of Leeds under the supervision of Dr Ben Sharp. Before this I completed my BA and MMath at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.
I am currently interested in approximate harmonic maps, in particular ε-harmonic maps. These are constructed much like the Sacks-Uhlenbeck α-harmonic maps, by considering critical points of some approximation to the Dirichlet energy. Then one can study how these approximate harmonic maps converge back to harmonic maps.
